Back in 2008, after being told that I have cancer, I decided that I wanted to run a marathon (because that’s the logical next step…ha!). I was connected to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program. Somehow I convinced my husband that it would be fun to run – and off we started on a new adventure. Out of the experience of training for an endurance event, Team WOBO was formed. WOBO is short for “walking our butts off” because that’s what was going to happen after learning about our training schedule.
I realized as I was out knocking on doors in the district, that now is the perfect time to resurrect Team WOBO! Because that’s what I’m doing once again — walking my butt off. District 14 is bigger than you realize…with beautiful and diverse neighborhoods.
